From the top of a tower to the bottom of an oversized slide, InsideTrack’s 3rd annual Student Success Symposium provided the setting for three days of conversation and collaboration among higher education leaders.
Gathering in Indianapolis to discuss how higher education can drive social mobility, attendees shared insights and made new connections at social events, speaker presentations and group discussions.
Watch our Symposium highlight video to see what it looks like when insights turn into action, and new ideas become next steps. (And find out what happens when a group of educators let loose for some lifelong learning at the Children’s Museum.)
From texting and email to good, old fashioned in-person meetings, student affairs professionals are experts at getting students to talk to us. But how often do we get to hear students talk to each other?
InsideTrack gathered a group of students from two- and four-year programs to tell us about their higher education journey. As the students opened up and started talking to each other — commiserating and celebrating — we just sat back and listened.
Download the pdf and be a fly on the wall as our student panel discusses their challenges, successes and hopes for the future.
InsideTrack’s third annual Student Success Symposium began with a lot of furrowed brows. The higher education leaders who came together to discuss social mobility and organizational change were given what seemed to be an impossible task: suspend a set of nails above a wooden platform, with only the tip of one nail touching the wood.
When university leaders come together to talk about changing lives, the inspirational stories pour out. Just about everyone attending InsideTrack’s third annual Student Success Symposium shared a tale or two about the students who stood out — the ones who faced unimaginable obstacles to soar to unprecedented heights.
